A large delegation from Decatur flew to Seevetal in 2023. A wonderful time was had by all as we toured Seevetal, visited a historical museum, enjoyed a lavish reception, toured Hamburg by bus and boat, and attended lively musical performances. In addition, we visited an organic lettuce farm and an apple orchard. Our hosts were amazing!
Japanese Student Ambassadors Visit Decatur - July 2023
This year our Japanese student ambassadors hosted an origami event at the Children's Museum of Illinois. Other activities included a trip to Chicago, a tour of the US Army Aviation Support Facility at the Decatur Airport, and a visit to Splash Cove.
Celebrating 55 Years!
November 2022
In order to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Decatur and Tokorozawa bond, six delegates from Tokorozawa flew to D-town and stayed from November 2nd - 4th. The trip included a tour of Decatur on the city trolley, visiting the Decatur Water Production Division, a tour of Caterpillar, visiting the Macon County History Museum, and a dinner reception at Millikin University.
